When it comes to Journalism, CCHS Senior and Journalism class student Anjely Xoxotla-Perez enjoys writing the most. Xoxotla-Perez took Journalism because the skills she learns in Journalism can translate into better writing and publishing in the future.
“I like the stories that I write, it’s really calming and makes me feel smart.”
Something that may surprise people about Xoxotla-Perez is that she greatly enjoys reading books, currently reading Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover.
After the 1st semester of the 25-26 school year, Xoxotla-Perez says that the biggest skill she’s improved is the way she takes pictures. Xoxotla-Perez sees that the most challenging part of Journalism is getting a good interview.
Outside of Journalism, Xoxotla-Perez enjoys shopping, reading books, and makeup. Xoxotla-Perez’s favorite place to shop is Hollister, and she enjoys shopping for things such as clothes, perfumes, and accessories.
Xoxotla-Perez believes that a good journalist is someone that picks good people for interviews and takes their time with writing their article.
“Really take your time with an article.”
