Career and Technical Education (CTE),  has become an important part of what students can learn at CCHS, and it has started opening up new opportunities for students who want to explore different career paths.

Programs in areas such as trades, business, engineering, education, and agriculture all play major roles in society. 

These fields keep communities functioning by building structures, maintaining equipment, creating products, and developing services that people depend on every day. 

By bringing CTE to CCHS, the school is giving students the chance to learn about these important careers earlier and figure out what interests them before they graduate.

CTE didn’t appear at CCHS all at once. The teachers were there first, doing hands-on learning experiences and more exposure to real-world skills too.

 As more students became interested in these programs, the school expanded the number of classes available. 

Over time, this growth led to the creation of a brand-new CTE wing, which gave teachers and students access to specialized classrooms, tools, and equipment designed to support learning in different career areas. 

Now students can explore business, technology, health sciences, technical trades, and other pathways that prepare them for future opportunities.

CTE teachers play a huge role in helping the program succeed. “

By interviewing all, I noticed how all of them said, “Their goals are to make learning uncomplicated and approachable”.

Many CTE teachers came directly from the industries they teach about, so they bring practical experience and real stories into the classroom. 

Some were inspired by mentors who helped them in their young years, while others want to make sure students leave high school with skills that will benefit them in the workforce or in college.

Overall, the growth of CTE at CCHS gives students more options, more confidence, and more chances to explore what they might want to do in the future, making it a valuable thing.
