On Wednesday, March 2nd the annual Volleybro game between the junior and senior male students was played.

The volleybro game is when the junior and senior male students play a volleyball game consisting of up to 3 matches, and then the winner plays the faculty team. Each team is coached by members of the volleyball team for their respective grade. The volleybro game is usually played for a charitable organization. This year the proceeds went towards the Franks family to help pay for medical bills. “We just found out today that tennis players are not allowed to play, which means that the juniors lost a lot of their good players, and the seniors still have a good lineup,” said Marritt Vaughn on his feelings about the volleybro game. The tennis players were not allowed to participate because their season was going on at the time, however since the Volleybro game was pushed back it happened after the basketball season so the basketball players were able to play.

Volleybro is an annual event, however last year it did not happen because of Covid. Since there wasn’t one last year, it was very competitive this year.

When asked who he thought was going to win the game between the juniors and seniors, senior Alex VanWinkle said, “It’s going to be a landslide victory by the seniors. We’ve got a strong backcourt, a good bench, we’re running good plays at practice, and we’ve put in a lot of effort.” The seniors were coached by Bria Sisk, Carleigh Stearns, and Brooke Williard.

The juniors won against the seniors in a close 2-1 match. They went on to play the faculty and won against them as well.
