December 4 2025, The Carbondale v.s Murphysboro girls basketball game on the home court was a very interesting and an outgoing game. Murphysboro got blown out by many points in both JV and Varsity games. Both games were trying their best to keep up with team work and also keeping up with the ball. The lady terriers didn’t just play together they played as one, turning individual talent into an unstoppable team force.
More than just a game, the girl lady terriers have successfully cultivated a competition, and mutual support. The players exhibit a tremendous amount of grit and resilience, constantly cheering one another on in practice and during games, a spirit that has become contagious within the school community. This season has been a testament to their dedication, with the team growing closer and improving with every game, proving that strong bonds and a positive outlook are key to long-term success.
“I keep it up with god rather we win or not” said Kaleah Glee.
Glee also said “due to trying and putting our full effort into every game keep my energy high and my spirit flowing.
Beyond the scoreboard, this season was defined by the team’s unwavering resilience and collective spirit. From intense preseason conditioning to bouncing back from very few tough losses, they learned that true success lies in supporting each other and developing grit, transforming individual players into a connected unit that values character over fleeting victories, a sentiment echoed by Coach Hill and also Mr. McGuire.
“We succeed when we play for each other, not just ourselves.” said Leadreah Love
Love also said, she created a lot of bonds and friendships over these past seasons.
“This game made me feel big and made the rest of my teammates feel good as well because the other team had zero. So we were making the fun out of it and just playing ball!” said Love
