Starting off the 2025\2026 girls basketball. The Carbondale Lady Terriers kick off tryouts this week, bringing energy and competition to the gym. Players worked hard to show their skills, teamwork and hustle as coaches looked for strong potential girls for this upcoming season. 

Kaleah Glee , is a shooting guard. She plays very competitively. When feeling under pressure she passes the ball and gets open for the next play. Glee does not think basketball is going any farther than high school but says “ This is a very good and hard ball sport. It’s fun and shifty when on the court.” said Glee. but yet she really does enjoy the thought of the sport and the mindset on how far she could go if she really wanted to take it far. “If you don’t try, you won’t pull yourself to be better,” said Glee. 

Point and shooting guard Jamee Ingram Says “when under pressure I hit a double dribble pull up or get the ball out of my hand and pass it to Riley because I know she can make a play and get the ball up in the net and score for our team” said Ingram 

Dalia Roman is the captain of the Carbondale lady terriers basketball varsity team. Roman is good at team work and trying to keep the players together and helping them learn their plays. Her togo move when feeling under pressure is a spin move\ cross over then attempt to make a basket. Roman  Is very serious about basketball. She’s been playing since she was 3 and always knew from then that she was going to be a hooper. Roman also knew she was going to make the team 100% due to her work and effort on the court these last past years she was on the Carbondale ladies basketball team.  

LaAdria Love is also a great team player on the basketball team. She’s been playing for the last 2 years. Love sees this season going very great due to her teammates and how she has been doing outside of practice. “ how you going to make it down the court by walking” as in basketball is all about speed and how fast can you get the ball to the next player and into the basket. Love knew she was going to make the team before the even was on the team because she is very fit and has connections and encouragement from the coaches.
