We’ve all heard of a popular EDM artist: Zedd, Martin Garrix, the Chainsmokers, David Guetta, etc. The question, however, is how do you make a good song, where most of it is just random noises and synth-pop beats? The answer to said question, is actually a lot easier than you’d think.

1. Know what your song will be about. You can’t just make a song, without knowing what message your song is going to convey. No good song has no meaning. Whether its about being closer to someone, or living in Paris, or about some animals, there needs to be a message.
2. Get your samples. It’s an EDM song. No good EDM song has no samples. Know what noises/voice tracks will enhance your song without it becoming obnoxious.
3. Produce your track. A song is only as good as it’s worst part, so make sure your worst part is pretty darn good.
4. Publish your track to SoundCloud. Unless you’re already part of a record label, chances are, you’ll be posting your track to SoundCloud in hopes that it’ll be enough of a banger for you to become famous.
