Revolving around games of mystery, deception, and socialization, the table top gaming club has different gaming genres to offer. This club meets every Tuesday at 3 o’clock, in the room of Johnathan Taylor, their supervising teacher.
“In 2014, three students would go into the library and play dungeons and dragons,” Taylor said. “They spoke to Mrs. Jones who led them to Mrs. McClain, where they were helped in pseudo-starting the club.”
Taylor, curious about the club, asked Mrs. McClain questions, which led to him obtaining the club’s rights. “It wasn’t officially a club at the time, I had to collect whoever showed up,” Taylor said ” For about 3-4 years, until it became an official club around 2017.”
The club has run well for years, with active participation from all of its members. Even so, other issues tend to arise. Luckily the remaining members help fix the issue.” Every time I’m worries. We always lose a lot of seniors and I wonder who was going to pick up the mantle, but other members have already started stepping up.” Taylor said.
Harley Obaid, the Vice President, is normally the one who takes attendance. She also informs the club members on whether or not the club will be meeting. “I really like hosting werewolves,” Obaid said. “I like walking around and giving people their cards.”
Marjoin Henry, the treasurer, manages any club’s funds. He often mixes in other responsibilities like following the attendance of the attending members. “I enjoy playing games and goofing off with friends,” Henry said.
