The Carbondale football team knows what it feels like to win, taking over the South Seven conference in 2023 – 2024, and making a playoff appearance as sixth seed for the first time in a couple years going 7-3. Unfortunately the Terries came up short last season with a record of 3-6 and are working hard this offseason to bring the winning culture back to the school.
Leaders all across the roster are working extremely hard to ensure a promising season. Sophomore starting quarterback is motivated to put his best foot forward this offseason “All of my coaches and family. They want to see me win as much as I want to win and that makes it much easier to keep going”. Davin works very hard to be the best he can and with the unconditional support from his family and coaches I believe he will do great things.
His right hand man, leader on the Oline is doing a great job rising to power as a star player for the terriers wants the best for his teamates, “I see them as family, as my brothers so i’ll teach my techniques, we’ll work offseason, and we will lift, I’ll make sure they’re disciplined”.
Tight end Mikaeden Greene also has goals he’s going to accomplish next “To be the ,ost phyisical person on the field”. And with Mikaeden being 6’3 230 lb I think this will be a great offense with the right coaching as senior receiver Braylon Berry continues to lead the offense for the Terries.
On the defensive side we have Mac Fenton, a lockdown cornerback who has brung back to physical DB culture of the Terriers. As the leader of the defense Mac is dedicated to “stay vocal on the field to help my teammates stay in the game and make the changes we need”. Another stud on the defense this year Magnus Kensler is one of the hardest working players on the team and explains how he spends his free time, “ I hit the weight room hard 6 days a week with cardio at the end of each workout to stay in shape and come back stronger for next season. With leaders like this on the team I think when it comes time to play ball all the hard work they put in, in the offseason will pay off
