With CCHS Homecoming 2024 just around the corner, students often find themselves planning for dinner and photo-taking before the dance. My group of friends are no exception. I found myself asking: Where is the best place to eat dinner during times like these? Evangeline Randolph said, “I believe that the best place to eat would be Hacienda’s in Evansville Indiana… I believe that it is quite good, scrumptious in fact… We also, and always will, absolutely mess up the free trays of chips and dip. Hacienda’s is not fast food, it’s a sit down Mexican restaurant.” We were thinking Don Sol or Tres Hombres.
We created a survey with a list of restaurant names in an attempt to pick a fast and affordable place that everyone would agree on. The survey also included an option to suggest a restaurant that hadn’t been previously suggested.
When homecoming came, the survey winner was Tres Hombres. Yes, the choice was questionable, but having never been, I didn’t say anything. Going there was the best experience I ever had. The service was great, it was fast and easy, and the chips they offered were the best. Tres Hombres will be included in the running for future dinner plans. Aodhan Naz said, “It’s good because it’s fast and good chicken. Plus their signature sauce is always really good.”
Picking the place for dinner is an important choice as you want everyone to be happy and on time, so just do your research before you make a quick decision like choosing Applebee’s because the service is rude and the food takes forever to come out. All in all, the choice made for a memorable evening that helped set the tone for one of the best homecoming dances to date.
