The Predator is a new movie in the Predator franchise directed by Shane Black. It is largely an insult to the original movies that came before it. The kid in the movie is supposed to be somewhat autistic but he really only feels socially awkward. By the end of the movie the kid just acts like a normal kid, there is nothing to show he was supposed to be autistic in any way. Oh, by the way, when they take your head and spine they aren’t just taking a trophy they are taking genetic sample from the best of your race.

When I went and saw the movie on 9/16/2018 there were only 6 people there, including me and my dad and no one laughed when they were supposed to. I only laughed twice. In my opinion, the best character is the teleporting predator dog, the one that brings that one chick explosives when she needs them. I was actively rooting for that thing to get the killing blow on the upgrade Predator at the end.

This movie features two amazing teleporting dogs – one an ordinary dog and the other a predator dog. The predator gets into a fight with a sniper after crashing. The sniper puts on one of its gauntlet things. The predator attacks and the gauntlet decides to send out disk thing to attack the predator. The human does nothing to cause this and the predator gets knocked down with blood falling down on him.

Then, the human runs away (I can’t remember the names of any of the characters). When the human sees a helicopter fly by over head and the gauntlet pops out a little orb that lets him go invisible. He uses this to get away. He then uses his invisibility to scare a bartender into mailing the predator gauntlet and mask to his P.O. box, but instead it goes to his home. 

He finds out how to get a thing off of the gauntlet and messes around with it. I assume this is supposed to be him figuring out the language. But it just looks like the kid is pressing random buttons. The predator eventually finds the kid after using the original predators mask, which I am pretty sure got blown up. Later on, the kid gets what I can only describe as a psychic info dump from the mask and this is where I think the kids learns the predator language.

Then the predator hunts them down in the school. He also gets a team of crazy people, the scientist chick also joins them. So back at the school the upgrade predator finally shows up The upgrade predator kills the “normal” predator. The upgrade predator goes and destroys the predators ship. So the final battle begins.

The upgrade predator has launch able wrist blades that sometimes go straight through someone or randomly with no logical reason make them explode limb from limb. One guy got the plasma caster and straps it to his shoulder and it somehow works. The scientist chick yells at him he looks over and shoots his own head off. Then the twist when the upgrade predator say’s the main characters last name is that it meant his son. The upgrade predator called the kid who relied on his dad to protect him a true warrior, but how?

So the upgrade predator takes the kid so the dad and the two remaining crazies go with him. The two remaining crazies die. The dad gets in the ship crashes. Then it’s the dad, son and scientist chick with teleporting predator dog. They cut off one of its arms and the dog brings the chick a predator explosive. They pick up the arm attach the explosive to the launch able wrist blade and somehow launch the wrist blade without a trigger. Then, the upgrade predator explodes.

Then they get the predator’s package. It’s a magic piece of tech that grows a suit with a predator looking helmet around a person. For the entire point of the genetic samples being the skulls and spines just ignore the fact that they polish those and put them on display as trophies.
