As the academic year draws to a close, high schools across the nation are readying up for one of the most important days in a person’s life: graduation. For seniors, it marks the end of years of hard work, friendships forged, and memories made. Yet, as they bid farewell to the familiar halls of high school, a new chapter begins for another group – the eighth graders who are poised to become freshmen.
At Carbondale Community High School, seniors and staff do their best to get the upcoming class ready for the new environment and changes to their academic life. It’s important for the new students to start off strong and have them enjoy learning at the school they will spend the rest of their teen years in. In the end, this is just a cycle that happens every year. It’s a beautiful one at that, so make sure you help yourself and your peers, listen to your teachers, and have fun in high school!
