Art is paint, shapes, and colors; or it could be clay, tools, and glazes. Art is many things, and here at Carbondale Community High school, all forms of art are embraced here. Ranging from band, to ceramics, art is a big part of our schools curriculum. Ms Kennedy’s 5th Hour Advanced Art Class is a prime example of art in CCHS. The students are currently working on stamps, and with Mrs.Kennedy and student teacher Mrs.York they have been making great progress. One of Mrs Kennedy’s students, Julissa Perez, is a senior here at CCHS and was happy to explain why art is important to her.
Many students feel this way about art, and not just Mrs. Kennedy’s students but others who take classes such as photography and band or choir as well. If interested in taking a fine arts class, check out the Carbondale Community High School website or talk to your class councilor.
