The Fall Food Drive
The Fall Food Drive here at Carbondale Community High School is from October 30th to November 14th. All donations such as canned goods and non-perishable food items go to the Victory Dream Center, located at 607 E. College street in Carbondale, IL. For more information, contact (618) 525-2025 to answer any more questions.
All donations go out to our community to help anyone in need. Several teachers here at CCHS also offer bonus points for donating to the drive, such as history teacher Mr. Buss and government teacher Mr. Absher.
When asked about why teachers give bonus points to students who donate, Mr. Charles Buss responded with, “I think it is an important way to incentivise helping the community, and if they’re able to get more points like that, they’re more willing to participate.”
