Amya Adams’ journey to success

Amya Adamas is a sophomore potential all-conference sprinter. As Amya Adams prepares for her track meet today at DuQuoin, she runs up and down the court to stay active to prevent injuries and cramps so she can run a high 22 in the 200 meters race. This is her first year doing track, because last year, she had an injury. Amya had to get surgery around basketball season ends. 

Ayma recovered was a journey with lessons and motivation to strive harder. To become a better athlete and to be patient. Beginning of Amya high school career, she was anxious to try out for the track team because she knew her speed and her competition. As Amya spoke about her goals, she said that her goals is, “To push as hard as I can through obstacles, and to be a better me as an athlete and person”.  As a team the Carbondale girls relay team wants to hit the required state time.
