Bowling at CCHS

On Wednesday, November 9, the Carbondale Community Highschool Terrier Bowling Team  had a home match against the Steeleville Warriors. Out of the three games played at the match, the Terriers won all three with an average team score of 777 pins. The highest pin count the team achieved was 832 with a margin of 264 pins over Steeleville. The highest scoring bowler at the match was Senior Conner Bennett with a high score of 235.

Team Captain Alex Roberts speaks about how the team’s performance may look this season. “I feel like we could have a chance to win regionals, we just kind of got to get it together. Get our spares and close our frames, because that’s all bowling really is, closing the frames. Make sure you do that, and we could be a solid team. And then we just got to make sure to continue to pick each other up because [bowling] is a lot more of a mental sport than people realize.”
