Student Experience at the CCHS Fall Blood Drive
On Wednesday, October 10th, students and staff at CCHS gathered in the gym, eager to save lives by donating blood. While the thought of needles and blood can be stressful, administrators worked hard to make this a safe and fun experience. Nurses were very thorough in making sure that everyone met the requirements to donate, both for the safety of the donors and for the safety of patients who are in need.
Although the wait was extremely long because of these precautions, it was great to see so many people participating. Some people sadly weren’t able to donate due to low iron levels, but free snacks and comfy hospital socks were still offered to everyone along with a good excuse to get out of class.
