Last Days of Senior Year

While the end of senior year is exciting, emotional, and a roller coaster, it is also stressful, hard, and filled with more work than thought possible. From having last big projects to finishing all the last minute assignments. All that stress can pill up and here are the steps to help not turn your last month into one big emotional breakdown.

  1. Prioritize: If you have nothing to do for your first hour and a paper due in second, skip first hour and work on what needs to get done. If you pile too much on at once, then you will just be adding on more stress than you need.
  2. Cry: While being strong is something everyone wants to be, having a good cry every once and a while can help wash away all the built up emotions and make you feel 10x better…or just make you cry more when you realize all the stuff you have to do.
  3. Eat…a lot of ice cream: Lets be honest, no one is ever going to have the summer body they want so those 10 bowls of ice cream won’t hurt you. Relaxing and taking a break to enjoy the tub of ice cream is great for your mind and soul. Plus it has health benefits by providing calcium to grow strong.
  4. Spend time with friends: Although you are stressed about having to get everything done, if you don’t spend time with your friends or significant other, than you will drive yourself crazy. Plus they can take your mind off of all the pointless homework you have left to do
  5. Those ten point assignments really don’t matter: When it comes to getting good grades, doing the work is important, but at the end of the year and you have less than a month to graduate, focus on the big stuff and don’t pay so close attention to the little details.

I hope these tips can help you Finnish the year out strong and feel more excitement than stress as you count down the days to graduation.
