Why The First Fast and Furious Movies Are The Only Good Ones

Preston Walla

As many people know The Fast and The Furious movies are full of cars and action packed scenes. But lets be honest, the movies have gone down hill and suck.

Lets go back to 2001 when the first movie came out. In The Fast and The Furious movie we got a look of the car tuning word of the early 2000’s. I remember seeing it for the first time and seeing all the cars. In the first movie, you see some very iconic cars.  For example, my favorite car from that movie was the 1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS. For being a 4 cylinder, this car was pulling out about 210 horse power, which is as much as my car does for being a 6 cylinder.

The first movie also took you into the lives of an undercover cop, played by Paul Walker, who is trying to bust a group of people who are stealing millions of dollars worth of tvs. During the movie you see a bond made between the main antagonist, played by Vin Diesel, and Paul Walker’s character. In the end, their bond becomes so strong that Paul ends up letting Vin Diesel’s character walk away instead of arresting him, causing Paul to lose his job and becoming a criminal and wanted by the FBI.

Lets fast forward to the second movie: 2 Fast 2 Furious. With Paul Walker making his way to Miami, Florida, he ends up getting back into street racing again. In this movie we get more cars. In this movie we get a look at the very beautiful 1999 Nissan Skyline GT-R R34. This car only had about 10 minutes of screen time but was a very beautiful car. After that we get to see a 2002 Mitsubshi Lancer Evo and we get to see a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder. We get to see these cars in action for a majority of the movie.

After the second movie we don’t see as many of the highly modified cars like we do in the first two movies. We still see some beautiful cars in these movies but we don’t see them highly modified like we did in the first two movies.
