Michigan Football: The Revenge Tour

Michigan Football: The Revenge Tour

Representing the most successful College Football team of all time, with 952 wins over all, the Michigan Wolverines are back and better than ever. Following last year’s disappointing season with a record of 8-5, and losing all of the major games, there was a different attitude going into this season. Led by four captains, senior safety Tyree Kinnel, senior running back Karan Higdon, junior linebacker Devin Bush Jr. and junior offensive lineman Ben Bredeson, the team named this season, the revenge tour.

Over the offseason, they picked up junior quarterback Shae Paterson as he left Ole Miss. This brought a big boost to the program because the offense struggled last year to create big plays. Unfortunately, even with the big build up in the off season, Michigan lost its season opener to Notre Dame who is currently ranked third in the nation, while Michigan is ranked fourth.

After this loss, the team knew they would not be bullied anymore. Since the lost, the Michigan Wolverines have won out and currently have a record of 9-1. The Michigan defense, which is led by defensive coordinator Don Brown, is the number one ranked defense in the nation. This defense is full of future NFL players like Chase Winovich, Rashan Gary, Khaleke Hudson, Devin Bush, and David Long. Don Brown has coach the number one ranked defense for the past four years, and he is not slowing down anytime soon.

One thing viewers have noticed is the confidence this team has shown, especially towards rivals. The face of the team, Chase Winovich is constantly reminding viewers that this is a Revenge Tour and Michigan is now the bullies. Michigan is on pace to play in the College Football Playoffs for the first time in program history. They have two more regular season games, one vs unranked Indiana, and one vs tenth ranked Ohio State. If they win both of these, they will play Iowa in the Big Ten Championship. Once Michigan wins these games, they will head to the playoffs where they will likely play Alabama in the first round.

The way the team is playing right now, with the defense only letting up 21 points and the offense scoring 105 points in the past three games, Wolverine Fans are excited for the rest of this season. GO BLUE!
