For students, trying to figure out a routine to work best with school is always a challenge. However, you should always try to figure your routine out so you can show your best performance in school. I know that personally, having a routine to follow helps a lot as you have everything sorted out. Here are some suggestions to help you and your routine.

  1. Get a good night’s rest and go to bed early. Being well rested helps you a lot in terms of functioning and energy, you’ll be able to think more clearly with the help of sleep. This depends from person to person, but know how many hours of sleep you typically need and prepare yourself accordingly.
  2. Have things planned beforehand. Sometimes there can be a lot of things happening at once, which is why it’s good to have it all sorted out. Being organized by knowing where and when things are happening or due will help you figure out when you should start working ahead of time to get it done so you won’t be stressing last minute.
  3. Get up early, as soon as your alarm rings (or even earlier if you want to). Getting up early in the morning can be a struggle, but do your best. When you get up early it’ll give you enough time to prepare yourself and brain before learning. It’ll also give you that extra time for when things don’t go according to plan and things take longer than usual.
  4. Don’t waste time on your phone. I know that for me, I always waste a bunch of unnecessary time on my phone when I could be getting ready for school instead. So try to keep away from electronics as they may hinder your routine and slow you down a lot.
  5. Have a good, nutritional breakfast. Breakfast is an important meal that people I know skip daily and disregard its benefits. When you wake up, your blood sugar that helps your body function is low, and breakfast helps replenish it. Having breakfast can help with a cranky mood and give you more energy to get through the day.

I hope that you can take some of these things into consideration as I know these are the most important parts of my routine to make my day much better.
