Its okay to not feel ready, high school is a new beginning filled with a different environment and people/teachers that you have never met before. Think about it as a fresh start where you can improve on yourself not just academically but also personally. I will be sharing with you five things to keep in mind that helped me my freshman year. I hope they can inform you.

#1: Do not procrastinate.

Staying on top of my homework and turning it in on time helped me keep my grades up and not have missing or late assignments.

#2: Make new friends.

Even though it can be scary, meeting new people is refreshing. In the long run they can be someone you can trust to talk to about your problems.

#3: Its okay to ask for help.

You wont always know how to do every homework assignment. Get the extra help you need by staying after school or by finding a tutor.

#4: Make wise choices.

Over the years you will think back on situations and regret what the outcome was. Before you make a decision, think about how it would affect you and the people around you.

#5: Change is normal.

You will not end high school with the people you started with, people change with time and so do you. Do not stress over the past and instead focus on your future. Life has unexpected changes.
