For the past two years, there have been several movies announced in 2019. At last the time is here for us movie fanatics to go have a seat in front of the big screen to enjoy the cinematography. (The movies will not be listed in any specific order.) 

Toy Story 4 

 After Toy Story 3, Disney and Pixar fans were upset to see Andy’s toys move onto a different home. The trailer to Toy Story 4 has recently been released after almost ten years since Woody, Buzz, and Jesse have been seen. The movie will now take place in Bonnie’s home and at a carnival trying to save Bonnie’s handmade craft from running away. The movie comes out June 21st and it is anticipated by not only kids today, but those teens and adults who grew up on Toy Story since 1995. 

Us

Jordan Peele came back this year with another horror movie about a family of four haunted by intruders in their home. After the intruders remove their masks, they realize the intruders are their doppelgängers haunting them with their worst fears. The family must kill their doppelgängers in order to stop the torment from continuing. Us is following Peele’s previous movie, Acadamy Award Winner for screenplay, Get Out. If you’ve watched Get Out, you know the it has the biggest twist. Many hope Us has the same type of twist. It has now been out in theaters for a week and has a Rotten Tomatoes rating of 95%. 

Avengers: Endgame 

The sequel to AvengersInfinity War is set to be released April 26thAvengersEndgame is going to take place right where it left off in Infinity WarThe characters who survived the battle against Thanos in Infinity War must find a way to bring back the rest of their crew and defeat Thanos to go back to normal civilization. Any Marvel fan is eager to see where the Avengers series will end with this upcoming film. Thankfully, fans did not have to wait more than a year to watch this movie in theaters; but be sure to clear your schedules as the movie is rumored to be more than 3 hours long. 

Captain Marvel 

Another film from the Marvel Universe, Captain Marvel, the hero called at the end of Infinity War. The film has now been out in theaters for a couple weeks and about to reach $1 billion dollars in the box office. Be sure to catch in theaters to meet Captain Marvel as she fights her own memories throughout the film to prevent the light-speed from reaching the wrong hands. Rotten Tomatoes has given the movie a 78%. 

The Lion King 

The classic animated movie, The Lion King (1994), was a hit for Disney. After being viewed by billions of people through the past decades; they have decided to remake it into a live action. The movie is set to be released this summer and movie-watchers are already anticipating the remake. Whether it’s for Simba’s furriness, the cast, or the fact that it is a live action—many can’t wait to relive the tears and excitement from the original. Make sure to mark your calendars for July 19th!
